If you are new to fishing or Perth, Tackle Tech can help you achieve your fishing goals by providing you with access to more than 30 years local fishing knowledge.  We can teach you all the basics that you need to know to be able to go out and catch yourself a feed.  Tackle Tech will help you get to your favourite fishing spot with all the knowledge, tackle and tactics you need to be able to promote yourself into the top 10% of fisherman that catch 90% of all the fish!

Tackle Tech was starter primarily to teach people how to get the most out of their fishing experience.  While Tackle Tech has a preference for light line battles we respect an individual's right to fish the way they want.  So while we are happy to provide you with suggestions to improve your catch rate it remains up to you to apply what you learn!

Option 1: Learning the Basics

With over 30 Years local fishing knowledge backing each lesson you will be taught how to catch 5 different species of fish using three different techniques!  The techniques you will learn can be applied to onshore or offshore fishing.

In two hours or less (depending on your experience) you will be taught the basics in the comfort of your own home or any other suitable venue.

Option 2: Skills Session


Catch as many bread and butter species as you can, within Fisheries bag limits.  Be provided with advice on techniques and tactics to help improve your catch rate.  Fishing locations vary depending on time of year and target species.

Please note that Tackle Tech strictly adheres to the bag and size limits specified by Fisheries WA and is a proud supporter of ‘Catch and Release’.  Why?  So that we can all enjoy fishing in the future!

Fishing employs the use of equipment that may cause harm or damage to person or property.  Tackle Tech holds no liability for any injury or loss sustained during the course of a Fishing lesson/Fishing session or Fishing trip.  Any such injury or loss will remain the responsibility of the individual.

Fishing is an outdoors sport which is at the mercy of the elements.  Each person is expected to ensure their own safety and to ensure no other person/group is put at risk by their actions.

To get maximum advantage of our Southern Forrests option you will require a recreational fishing boat licence.  Each licence entitles the holder to keep some of their catch, within the limits specified by Fisheries WA.
